Quick Tips
- "Comprise" is often misused. The correct form is A comprises B, C, and D (not is comprised of).
- "Inherent" and "integral" both mean "essential," but inherent focuses on nature, integral on role.
- "Erode" is useful figuratively in essays: Trust in institutions has slowly eroded.
